Today is a very sad day. Grandma Sacramento passed at 9:20 this morning

Amparo passed on peacefully with the Lord’s blessings at San Leandro Hospital on Friday morning, January 6th, surrounded by her family. She died at age 86, 18 months after her beloved husband Benny. Amparo was a soldier’s wife for over 59 years. Together they raised 6 children and traveled from one military assignment to another in California, France, Hawaii, South Carolina, Okinawa, and New Jersey. She and Benny retired to San Leandro in 1969,
Amparo was active on the boards of several social organizations including The Ormocanon, the Tanay Club of America, and the Filipino Senior Citizens of San Francisco.
Although she retired as a civil service employee, Amparo’s primary work was as a devoted wife and loving mother & grandmother. She is survived by her children: Tony & Sharon, Ben & Telly, Cecilia & Rudy, Ed & Liza, Joe & Stella, Teresa & J, her grandchildren: Mike & Shanea, Deborah & Antonio, BJ, Robert, Greg, Rachel, Nathan and Jason, and great grandchildren: Nikolas & Hailey Marie. Along with her many cousins, nephews and nieces, they will forever remember Amparo in their minds and hearts.
Friends are invited to Prayer Services, Thursday January 12th at 7:00pm at St. Felicitas Church. Funeral Mass at St. Felicitas will be on Friday January 13th at 9:30am, followed by the Burial Service at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Hayward.
