Smile for the camera

By December 30, 2005

We have 7 days left.....
I am feeling O.K I have been a bit crampy and have been hoping that it will turn into something a little bit more then just cramps. But we will see.
We finally got little girls car seat cover after the drier ate the old one. That makes me feel a lot better now too. Mike said he would install the base into the car today so it's all ready to go
I also pulled out the diapers that I saved from when Nik was a little tiny guy.  I can't get over how cute they are. They are sooooo little.
So we are supposed to go for family pictures today. I am so not please about this. My face is swollen, I look like a huge blimp and feel even worse and now I have to go smile for the camera!! UGH. I can understand that Mike and his family want to take pictures. It been about  3 years now.  I am trying to be a good sport about it, really I am but that doesn't make me feel any better about doing it.
Little dude just woke up so I am going to go love him
Oh before I go. I found this online from our registry from Nik I wanted to save it its just too cute!!! Mike put it together for me.

Inspiration
Here is the inspration to the baby's room theme. This is a picture of Snoopy from the "Snoopy on Ice" show that we attended in December. Shanea and I are both fans of the adorable Beagle.

The best gift is still to come
Here is the star of our show at seven months into her pregnancy. We may have a lot of Christmas presents under the tree, but the best gift (Nikolas) wont be delivered until sometime in March. Isn't she beautiful?

Almost Done!
The old guest room is nearing its transformation into Nik’s new room. We've completely remodeled it. In this pic, the old, single pane, aluminum window has been replaced with a warm, double pane, vinyl window. Also, a new windowsill has been added and new paint has been applied.

New Paint Does Wonders
Here’s a closer look at the new paint. The two colors look great together.

Never Ending Project
Although it seemed like the never-ending project, I really enjoyed preparing the room for Nik's arrival.

90% Complete
Well, it needs some finishing touches like wood blinds, but here’s a pic of the completed room. Notice the new window trim, windowsill, chair molding, crown molding, baseboards and even new carpet. We absolutely love it!

Snoopy Boarder
This is the boarder that set the tone for the room. It turned out even better than we had imagined. This boarder is sentimental to us. It was purchased directly from the Schultz Museum, which is located only ten minutes from us.

A Nice Start
Nik’s not due for another 51 days. But we just had to start filling up his closet with adorable outfits. My mother in law keeps telling me not purchase clothes for him because we'll get plenty at the shower. But I just can’t help myself. They're just too darned cute to pass up.

That's my prego!
Here we are nearing the finish line. 50 days left and counting. I sure will miss feeling her tummy move, but look forward to the joy and excitement that lies ahead.

Mobile
The Mobile is absolutely Adorable. It plays "Twinkle, twinkle, little star" and moves the baby Snoopys around and around

Nikolas
Shanea's sister did a wonderful job hand painting the letters to attach to the door to his room. Each letter has a different theme. She even painted ducks on the "N" in recognition of my love for duck hunting. Thanks Mena!
