Happy First Birthday Nik!!!!
Last
night was so much fun!!! It was Nik’s
first birthday. We had all the grandparents over to the house and just had a
wonderful time. I made dinner. Tri-tip and mashed potatoes with green beans. Then we opened up presents and ate birthday
cake. Nik really liked the cake that I made him and he loved to be sung to. He
thought that was the best!!!!

After we put little man to bed Mike and I sat down in our finally finished living room, which by the way looks wonderful, and watched home videos of our family from the last year. It was such a treat to look back on all of the changes that have taken place in our lives. It was wonderful to see little man growing up and doing more and more things. It really made me appreciate this last year and even though it went by so fast. It was filled with some of the most memorable time in my life.

I also saved the paper from the 10th and the candle I put on Nik’s cake. I am also going to trace his hand print today when I get home and he is getting his picture taken next week. Then I am going to put it all into a box and keep them until he is old enough to have them.
This weekend is the big birthday bash so I will write about it all on Monday then its off to Disneyland for Nik and I. What a great couple of weeks we have had.
