This weekend was so much fun!!! WE had a blast I tell
you. Flying wasn’t the best but other then that it was great. Little man was
such a champ on the planes I was really impressed with him. Thursday morning,
we took off out of Oakland. We then had to take a same place from LAX into San
Diego. O.K NEVER AGAIN will we do that. It was so not fun. I was very proud of
myself for getting onto the small plane but man I was not thrilled by that one.
It had propellers. The ride wasn’t as bad as I had thought but still not a
happy camper. Anyway, when we got there, we went to pick up the rental car,
this was so darn funny. They tried to put us into a really small economy car.
Talk about a Clown car type situation. The guy that brought us the car seat
finally felt so bad for us that he upgraded us for free. They gave us a bright
red Toyota Matrix. This was nice because it had a hatch back and allowed us to
put all of the luggage into the car not just part of it. We were thinking that
we may have to make two trips to get everything that’s how small the first car
was.
When we got to the hotel it was still a few hrs. from check in so we went and
had lunch at this great local cafe I love San Diego cus you can sit outside and
eat and watch all of the people it was great! Little man loved it. He asked us about
every single bird, plant, car and person was!, Whatz dat?
We finally got checked into our hotel and Mikey headed out to the beach to surf
and Mena and I took bug to the pool. Oh he loved that. He splashed and laughed
I knew he liked the water but wow he was a little duck J After a while it
started to cool off so we headed back upstairs took a nap and then got ready to
go out and get some food. We wanted to grab dinner early so that we could come
back and get to bed. O.K so the best
restaurant ever in San Diego! Fat Boys Pizza with the motto! Surfers make the
best pizza! O.K how could you go wrong at a place like that. It was wonderful
we each ordered a, SLICE for $2.50 and a slice of pizza from Fat Boys was the
size, (I am not exaggerating here) of a medium pizza! I was so shocked at how
big they were. And it was soooo good!!! We all had more then our fill of pizza
that night. With full bellies, including Nik, we waddled back to the hotel and
all fell fast asleep.
The next morning we got up early and went to the San Diego Wild animal park.
That place is so cool!! I had never been to it and Mike has been telling me for
year how wonderful it was. WOW I was so impressed. There are so many animals to
see there and the layout for all of them is wonderful. They have plenty of room
to roam around and interact. It was amazing. Again Bug was just so overwhelmed.
Everything was, Whatz dat? and every time you told him what something was he
would ask again, Whatz dat? to make sure you repeated it. Oh yeah and this is where we found Kitty.
Kitty is the newest member of the Thompson clan. Kitty is a little stuffed
leopard. Nik walked right up to it grabbed it off the shelf and said, Kitty,
and then gave it a kiss and a hug. O.K,
I have to admit if it would have been an $800.00 item I still would have got it
for him. He was so darn cute with it and he had not put it down since we got
it. But thank the lord it was only a $12.00 item. I still can get over how cut
it is. I will have to get pictures of it.
The next day we headed over to Sea World. This was another wonderful place that
Mike had been dying to take me but I never wanted to go. We also had a
wonderful time. Nik just loved it. He really loved the fish and the dolphins.
He asked what everything was yet again and even mimicked a few of the words
that we said. It was just to much fun I tell you.
The only bummer with the whole trip was the fact that we lost the digital
camera. I was so bummed about that. All of the pictures are gone L But there is
nothing I can do so! We will have to just go back down there and get more
pictures.
O.K so a report on this weekend!!! It was Dad’s
birthday on Sat! He turned 56 years old. It was really fun!! All of us kids
gathered at the parent’s house to hang out and have dinner. We had steak and of
course Ma made dad his favorite cake. White cake with home made chocolate
whipped frosting!! It was really nice C.J said a few things at dinner for dad’s
birthday and how great he is then when Dad was opening present C.J said how
great Dad is. It was nice to hear my little brother step up to the plate and
say something nice like that about Dad. Then of course through out the day Dad
and little man played. They get along so well. Dad turns into another kid when
he is around Nik. To fun!!!
On Sunday we went to Napa and finally bought the RV we had been looking for for a while. I am pretty excited about it. It’s going to be so much fun driving around in that thing. I can’t wait for all the camping trips and fun times that we have ahead with that thing. I think our maiden voyage with it will be in May to the West Cost Thumper Talk ride. I can’t wait!!!

Today is the day. Stinky officially decided that he
was going to walk. Mike called me at work to tell me that stinky was walking to
and from things throughout the house. Nik has been trying to walk for a while
now but today was the first real day that he walked without coaching!!!
This
weekend was O.K we didn’t make it to Uncle Ben’s birthday party. Sat was nuts.
We went to the Sport and Boat show at the Sonoma Fair grounds. It was fun. We
came so close to buy a trailer it wasn’t even funny! We decided to check one
thing before we signed for sure and come to find out what we had thought all
along ended up not being true so we didn’t buy it. Mike and I were both a bit
bummed out but we will get over it.
We only have 10 days till we are on vacation in San Diego. I am really looking forward to it. Damena is closing her house around the same time and now she is saying that she doesn’t think she will be going!!! Not good. I will be bummed if she doesn’t end up going. But I am not to worried about it I am sure it will all work itself out.
So I am once again toying with the idea of stating my online craft store. I have all the tools in place now its just programming it and putting it all online. I am not sure what I am waiting for. I really think it would be so great to have something out there. And I love the web and I love to craft so! I will figure it out soon I think I just need to get on it and do it. Maybe I can work on it before we leave for the trip. That’s a good goal. To have something up there before I leave. Well, we will see.

And you should see him walk. He is really starting to get good at it. He cruses all around and then when no one is looking he takes 5-10 steps all by himself then looks around for someone to smile an tell him what a great job he did. It’s so fun!!

Well, looks like the world is a changing for me. Work
has really picked up. I have been assigned a new role as a Website/Producer
type position. They haven’t changed my title nor given me a raise (Which I am a
bit bitter about) but I am having fun with it. It keeps me busy and makes the
day go by faster which is all that matters.
Little man is finally on the mend after a week for the flu. That was so not fun!!! Poor little guy I really felt bad for him but now he is up and running around again. Still not walking on his own but he tries. Him and I were sitting in his room last night playing. I was reading a book to him and he was playing on the floor. He decided that I was done reading and took the book from me. So I sat and the floor and lined up a Car that he plays with all the time and a Cho Cho Train. Then I asked him which one he wanted to play with. He looked at me and told me he wanted to play with his Car. He said Car J It was to fun. Then I took the car from him after a few min and asked him again what he wanted to play with and he said, Cho Cho Train, it was to cute!! He is really getting smart.

Mike is really changed his attitude lately. Things are going really well between the two of us. It’s been rough getting used to the new schedule with him working at night but I think all is going well. I love him and little man so much!!!
It’s Grandpas birthday next weekend so we have to figure out what we are going to get for him. And this weekend I am not sure what we are going to do. Hopefully it will be nice so that we can spend some time outside.

Life
has been nuts the last few days. It’s been a while since I have had a chance to
sit down and write. Easter was wonderful. We went to Church and saw Deacon Joe.
He stopped us to give us a special Easter blessing and to let us know that
there are many new baptisms coming up. Mike and I are responsible for setting
up for the baptisms for the church. We really like doing it. It also gives us a
way to give back to our community. After
church we were able to get over the Grandma Sacramento’s house to visit. We
spent a good part of the day over there. It was nice to see her. She looked
well. She is now on dialysis 3 times a week. She is not happy about it but what
can you do. Uncle Joe and Stella, Celica and Rudy, Ben and BJ and Tony and
Sharon. It was kinda sad to see that the Sacramento clan parties have boiled
down to almost nothing. I remember when these parties were huge. 25 people all
crammed into Grandmas house. It really made both Mike and I sad to realize that
those times are coming to an end. Anyway,
after that we left and went to my Ma’s house. There we had dinner with
everyone. C.J had his girlfriend there! Debbie and Damena had her boyfriend
there Dave. It was fun! Little man ate quite a bit of food, and had fun playing
with everyone.
We then came home and of course after a wonderful day we settle into bed and little man wakes up sick! YUCK!! So, from then on little man has had the flu which has not been fun.

This weekend was so much fun!!!! Nik and I drove down
to Disneyland with The Mickel’s. We
spent Friday, Saturday and part of Sunday in the parks. It rained on Friday and
Sat most of each day. But that didn’t stop us. I had a cover for the stroller
and an umbrella so we were good to go. Nik thought it was great because I would
put him in the front carrier and sip up Mikes big rain jacket and we would
stroll around the park. It was a funny site to see. All you could see of little
man was his hands and face and a hat with Mickey ears on it. It was a crack up.
We rode on all of Nik’s favorite rides. Especially, It’s a Small World. I can
get over how much he likes that ride. He would dance and point at everything as
we went through it. He had me in stitches. Then as the ride would come to an
end and the music would slowly fade out he would look around then clap he hands!
It was too funny to watch.
And I swear it’s unreal how much this kid eats!!!!! Everyone was laugh at us. I would feed him in the morning his normal jars of food. Two little jars and a bottle of Milk! That’s normal for him to eat. Well! then we would head off to breakfast and he would proceed to eat at least 2 pieces of bread and some kind of fruit. Then yesterday he not only ate his two pieces of bread but he also at a thing of yogurt. All he kept saying was MMMM MMMM. To fun!!
Not much up for this week. I am looking forward to kinda chilling out for a few days. It was nice to be gone but I missed my Mikey and I really love sleeping in my own bed. :-)
