Alright I am going to be honest...

I HATE THE FACT THAT I HAVE TO GO BACK TO WORK!!!!!!

I am having a really rough time with it all. I know that Mike will do just fine and that my babies are in the best place cus they are with their Daddy but still  Why can we win the lottery and be rich so I can stay home and play too.

I loved being off with Mike being home during the days. Our relationship has gotten so much better over the past few months. Mike is such a wonderful person. It was to funny today we were teasing each other, just joking back and forth. That lead to a comment that was funny from Mike so I jumped on top of time to pretend beat him up  we were wrestling on the ground and both laughing so hard that I though I was going to pee my pants. Mike was laughing really hard to. It was so fun  I loved it then of course we woke up Nik and he came running in to help Mamma "get Daddy". To much fun but it makes me think about all the things and fun times I will be missing by going to work during the day 

Not a happy camper right now.

I am now in the final count down to go back to work... ARGH!!!!  7 days.....

A lot has happen here in the last few weeks  I have been so busy trying to get things done. Not to mention planing a 2nd birthday party ... I can't believe my little man is going to be two  I am so excited for him.

This last week we converted his bed into a toddler bed. It was so cute to watch him the first night. He thought it was just so cool that he got to sleep on his big boy bed  He even wanted to go to be early. So now at bed time you tell him good night. He gives us both a kiss and then one of us walks him into his room and he falls asleep all by himself  I am so proud of him. No fuss or anything. What a great kid I have.

 

So for his birthday party this year he chose to have race cars be the theme so everything that we have is all about race cars. He just loves cars and I know he is going to love his party  If it doesn't rain we have a huge race car jumpy coming and of course we have the race car cake and decorations  He is just going to love it 

 

I was thinking the other day that it has been a while since I updated the list of things that he says... Then I realized that I don't think there is much that he doesn't say  So here are a few phrases that he says that are just to darn cute...

 

Wha yu doing Mamma?

Gikolas turn... "Nikolas Turn"

Quwessadilla peasse.  "Quesadilla please"

Outside play gunder mamma. "Go Outside and play with Gunner (our dog) Mamma"

Play sissy roo mamma, Nooooo sissy sleeping. "This is a conversation he has with himself he first asks if he can play with Sissy Roo and if he sees that she is sleeping he then tells himself No because she is sleeping  Too funny"

 

and lastly, and my all time favorite....

 

Mamma, go see Gammi, pappa, play papa tractor.... Great.....

 

This is another one of the conversations with himself he asks is he can go and see my parents, Grammy and Papa and he wants to play on Papas tractor. Then he says Great cus he think that I have already said yes we are going when in all reality I haven't said a word.  To funny...

 

As for little girl...

 

She is healthy and happy and is just now starting to reward us with HUGE smiles and small giggles  Its just so much fun all over again having a little one to love. She is sleeping in her own bed and is only waking up on most nights once at around 2:00 so overall she is doing really well. We go on Thursday to the Doc to see how much she has grown.

 

The only thing that has really be hard is realizing that everything takes twice as long. Bath time, Getting ready for eating and going out somewhere. So adjusting back to the timing instead of the let jump in the car and run to the store has been a bit difficult but not to bad 

 

As for Nik, he is doing soooooo great with her. I think it was one of the best choices for us to have the two of them so close together. He just loves her so much  He plays with her all the time and what is to cute is if I can't get her to settle down for whatever reason. Nik comes over and plays with her and she just loves it  I love to watch the bond that the two of them have formed. Its wonderful 

 

We have finally chosen a room theme for her and are working on her room as I type. Its lavender and pink and its butterflies. Also known as Flutter bys in our house  As soon as its all finished I will post pictures. I can't wait to get it all done for her 

 

Enough for now.

What do you do when your soon to be 2 year old tells you that is you don't get him his Apple juice that he is going to turn off the TV...

Exact words..

"Mommy... Gikolas watch TV no, get apple juice, kitchen now, please" As he is standing with his finger on the button to turn the TV off.

I can't even image what we have in store for us if he is already starting

I think we are going to plan to go camping next weekend  Yeah!!! I can't wait! Nik is going to love being in the dirt and riding his bikes every where .

The newest thing that little girl is doing is smiling  Today was the first official smile  It was too cute. I just ate it up!!!!

Alright back to hanging out with the little ones.

Alright, I know, I know its been a while since I've posted.

We are all really starting to get along and I want to devote as much attention to that as I can 

Hailey is going great. We went last week to her 2 week Doc appt and she was 8.5 lbs  It made me so happy to see her gaining weight instead of losing it like Nik did. She seems to be doing so good on the goats milk  It makes me so happy 

I have to tell about a couple of cute things she is doing my favorite is the smacking of her lips. Every time she gets hungry and she wants to eat she starts by smacking her lips together  So right before you hear this load scream for food you can her the little stinker smack her lips together. It's really cute to hear from her 

Another cute thing she does is after you have let her drink an ounce or so and you are getting ready to bring her up to burp she starts to growl.  Its a crack up this little tiny cute pink thing in your arms turns into a tiny growling bear  We just love it.

As for breast feeding. Things were going well but I am starting to loose my supply again and just don't think I can keep it up any more. She won't latch on so I am pumping all the time and its just not working for me. I gave it a good shot and she did get the breast milk for almost a month. I just am not able to pump as much as is required to keep my supply up for her. I wish I was one of those women who could pump and get a ton of milk but it seems that my breast just aren't into making extras for her. So I think this will be my last week of pumping and giving it to her. But we will see.

My little Nik is doing great. He is such a great big brother. You should see him. He loves to play with her  He like to "Dance with Sissy" it so cute. he grabs her hands and dances around with her laying on the couch  Then if her hands are busy he grabs her toes and does the same  To fun!!!

I was really worried that he would be  upset with me because of Sissy but so far it hasn't really made a difference to him. He seems to be handling things just fine  I sure hope this continues to be that way.

Other then the kids life has been pretty simple. Something I am not used to. I really love being able to get up at 10:00 and just sitting in bed holding my little ones. We watch TV or read or "play car"  Its really nice. I kinda wish life wasn't so complicated all the time and I could spend more time doing that instead of rushing around and worrying about what else I have to do.

I love being a Mom!!!! Life doesn't get much better then holding your two little ones in your arms and smothering them with kisses and hugs 

Nik is such a great little brother. He loves "Sissy Roo" its to cute to hear him call for her when he can't find where I have put her down. 

And little girl, WOW she is already changing so much  Her features are so soft and divine. She is such a  pretty girl. And all bundled up in Pink it just cracks me up. 

Bug has always been little mans nick name I gave that to him when he was just a tiny little guy all wrapped up in the swaddling blankets. He looked like a bug in a rug  So that suck. Bug.

Well, it looks like little girl is keeping her nick name too. Sissy Roo is sticking and now every time everyone refers to her it's Sissy Roo.

As for me I am on the mend I am really feeling pretty good for having a baby 10 days ago. I fit back into my size 8 jeans which thrills me to no end. It took me almost 4 months with Nik just to get down to the size 8. I should be back into my size 4 in no time 

The breast pumping thing seems to be O.K I can get at least an oz every time I pump. I guess that's good?? I have nothing to compare it too so I just don't know. I am still supplementing with formula until I can give her 3-4 oz every time she eats. She seems to be on a 3-4 hr schedule so we will have to work up to it  Its better then with Nik so that good.

I think that she too has a touch of reflux which really makes me sad. I think that the breast milk is keeping it at bay which is a good thing. I know that I am a very well equipped Mom now that I have had a refluxer but it still scares me. I don't want what happened to Nik to happen to her too. I guess we will see. I am pumping my little heart out so hopefully in the next few days the Milk supply will increase to fit her needs.

Different fat
Goats milk contains around ten grams of fat per eight ounces compared to 8 to 9 grams in whole cow's milk, and it's much easier to find lowfat and non-fat varieties of cow's milk than it is to purchase lowfat goats milk. Unlike cow's milk, goat's milk does not contain agglutinin. As a result, the fat globules in goats milk do not cluster together, making them easier to digest. Like cow's milk, goat's milk is low in essential fatty acids, because goats also have EFA-destroying bacteria in their ruminant stomachs. Yet, goat milk is reported to contain more of the essential fatty acids linoleic and arachnodonic acids, in addition to a higher proportion of short-chain and medium-chain fatty acids. Different protein
Goat milk protein forms a softer curd (the term given to the protein clumps that are formed by the action of your stomach acid on the protein), which makes the protein more easily and rapidly digestible. Theoretically, this more rapid transit through the stomach could be an advantage to infants and children who regurgitate cow's milk easily. Goats milk may also have advantages when it comes to allergies. Goat's milk contains only trace amounts of an allergenic casein protein, alpha-S1, found in cow's milk. Goats milk casein is more similar to human milk, yet cow's milk and goat's milk contain similar levels of the other allergenic protein, beta lactoglobulin. Scientific studies have not found a decreased incidence of allergy with goats milk, but here is another situation where mothers' observations and scientific studies are at odds with one another. Different minerals
Although the mineral content of goat's milk and cow's milk is generally similar, goat's milk contains 13 percent more calcium, 25 percent more vitamin B-6, 47 percent more vitamin A, 134 percent more potassium, and three times more niacin. It is also four times higher in copper. Goat's milk also contains 27 percent more of the antioxidant selenium than cow's milk. Cow's milk contains five times as much vitamin B-12 as goat's milk and ten times as much folic acid (12 mcg. in cow's milk versus 1 mcg. for goat's milk per eight ounces with an RDA of 75-100 mcg. for children). In children and adults under 30, Reglan may cause involuntary movements of the arms and legs, and sometimes loud or labored breathing, usually in the first day or two of treatment.

Reglan may cause intense restlessness with associated symptoms such as anxiety, agitation, foot-tapping, pacing, inability to sit still, jitteriness, and insomnia. These symptoms may disappear as your body gets used to Reglan, or if your dosage is reduced.
